LCR Honda Announces 2023 Rider Lineup

LCR Honda has officially announced that Takaaki Nakagami will continue to race for the team in the 2023 MotoGP season. The Japanese rider has been with LCR Honda since 2018 and has consistently performed well, finishing in the top 10 in the championship standings several times.

Nakagami's Impressive MotoGP Career

Nakagami made his MotoGP debut in 2018 with LCR Honda and quickly established himself as a competitive rider. In his rookie season, he finished 13th in the championship standings, with a best finish of 6th place at the Austrian Grand Prix.

In 2019, Nakagami improved his results, finishing 10th in the championship standings. He also achieved his first MotoGP podium finish at the Spanish Grand Prix, becoming the first Japanese rider to stand on the podium since Makoto Tamada in 2004.

Nakagami continued to impress in 2020, finishing 11th in the championship standings despite missing several races due to injury. He also recorded two top-five finishes, including a 4th place at the Valencia Grand Prix.

2023 Expectations

Nakagami will be hoping to build on his impressive performances in 2023. He will be riding the Honda RC213V, which has been a competitive bike in recent years. Nakagami will be aiming to challenge for podium finishes and potentially even race wins in the upcoming season.
